Je me suis rendu ces 2 dernières semaines aux USA pour disputer la finale du championnat américain de stunt, appelé les XDL. Les meilleurs pilotes de la planète s’y rendent et disputent les 5 rounds à travers les Etats-Unis.
Je me suis d’abord rendu à Las Vegas chez mon pote Nick Apex pour préparer ma Triumph. J’ai fait en sorte d’apporter toutes mes pièces afin d’avoir une moto quasiment identique à me moto en europe. Après 20h de Pick Up j’arrive à Portland et découvre un spot magnifique. C’est de loin le meilleur spot que j’ai roulé en compétition depuis que j’ai commencé les compétitions il y a 5ans ! Mes qualifications se passent très bien car je prends la première place à ma grande surprise ! Les finales se passent également bien, mais avec un peu de mal avec le format de jugement américain, je fini à la 7em place générale. Je suis un peu déçu de ce résultat, car j’avais pour objectif un top5, et j’avais la sensation d’avoir fait les 2 meilleurs runs de ma saison. Qu’importe, cela m’a permis d’acquérir de l’éxpérience et surtout de la motivation pour m’entrainer cette hiver. Voici quelques photos de mon périple.

I made these last 2 weeks in the USA to compete in the championship final American stunt called the XDL. The best riders in the world come here and compete for 5 rounds through the United States.
I first went to Las Vegas with my buddy Nick Apex to prepare my Triumph. I made sure to bring all my parts to have a bike almost identical to my own bike in europe. After 20h driving, we arrive at Portland and discovered a beautiful spot. This is by far the best spot I rode in competition since I started 5 years ago competitions! My qualifications are going very well because I take the first place to my surprise! The finals take place equally well, but with a little trouble with the U.S format judgment, I finished up 7th. I’m a little disappointed with the result, because I aim for a top 5, and I had the sensation of having the two best runs of my season. Whatever, it allowed me to gain experience and especially the motivation to train me this winter. Here are some pictures of my trip.
It was a real difficul for me ! The first competition, I had to give 150% of myself to stay in the game. The organization was perfect, riders were excellent, but I had difficulty in getting used to the track. Despite a steep and some important manhole is above the grip of the tarmac that failed me. I have not been able to do a drift right across the weekend, so I was disabled during the runs.But the grip was the same for everyone, and some riders did it perfectly, but I’ll have to remember the settings of the bike, in order to solve this problem. Qualifying went past medium, because I ended up at 10th place, after an inconclusive run. The next day I have to finish up to myself and find myself up onto the 3rd place. I am really surprised and quite pleased with this result, I continued on a good run this year. Next appointment, Bulgaria, in August!
Ce fût un week-end difficile ! Première compétition de l’année, ou je suis obligé de me donner à 150% pour rester dans la course ! L’organisation était parfaite, les riders excellents, mais j’ai eu énormément de mal à me faire à la piste. Malgré une pente assez importante et quelques plaques d’égouts c’est surtout le grip du macadam qui m’a fait défaut. Je n’ai pas pu faire un drift correct de tout le week-end, ce qui m’a handicapé pendant les runs. Maintenant, le grip était le même pour tout le monde, et certains y arrivaient parfaitement, mais il faudra que je revois les réglages de la moto, pour pouvoir palier à ce problème. Les qualifications se sont moyennement passées, car je fini à la 10em place, après un run peu concluant. Le lendemain en finale je dois le maximum de moi même et arrive à me hisser sur la 3em place du podium. Je suis vraiment étonné, et plutôt content de ce résultat, je continu sur une bonne série cette année. Prochain rendez-vous, la Bulgarie, en août !
I went to Andorra to compete in a competition organized by the Spanish Association ANR. Qualifying, did not go very well with a run completely missed, a motorcycle capricious because of the altitude (we were in a ski resort), and a tire too new. After changing the tire, I ride more to feel better on the bike and understand how the engine working at this altitude. At the end of the day I manage to win the sickest trick!
On Sunday we play the semifinals, where I class 3rd. Finally, for the finals, I did the « run » that I worked for over three weeks, with very few mistakes and managed to take first place overall. This is a super good result, and I really wanted congrat Kafon and ben Baldini who take 2em and 3em place! Thank to all the French present on the comp ‘I had a great weekend. Next stage in late July in London, during the ACE Café competition.

Je me suis rendu à Andorre pour disputer une compétition organisé par l’association espagnol ANR. Les qualifs, ne se sont pas très bien passées avec un run complètement loupé, une moto capricieuse à cause de l’altitude (nous étions dans une station de ski), et un pneu trop neuf. Après avoir changé de pneu, et m’être habitué au fonctionnement du moteur, je parviens à gagner le sickest trick !
Le dimanche nous disputons les demi-finales, ou je me classe 3em. Enfin, pour les finales, je fais le run que je travaillais depuis plus de 3 semaines, avec très peu de fautes et parvient à prendre la première place finale. C’est un super bon résultat, et je voulais vraiment tiré mon chapeau à Kafon et Ben Baldini qui prennent la 2em et 3em place ! Merci également à tous les français présents sur la compet’, j’ai passé un très bon week-end. Prochaine étape, fin juillet à Londres, à l’occasion de l’ACE Café compétition.
This week-end I’m at the « EnduroPale » at Touquet, one of the biggest sand race. I’ll make show on saturday and sunday, hope some person will come !
Ce week end je me rends à l’Enduropale, au Touquet, pour l’une des plus grosses courses sur sable. Je ferai un show le samedi et le dimanche. J’espère vous voir nombreux. Je serai ensuite sur le stand Ipone pour une scéance d’autographe.

Ce week-end se déroulait les Journées Professionnelles de la Moto et du Scooter à Lyon. A cette occasion, ma moto était sur le stand Roof. De nombreuses personnes se sont arrêtées pour regarder la moto. Je suis d’autant plus content que c’était l’unique moto de stunt présente sur le salon. Soit un bon coup de pub pour le sport !
This week-end was the Profesionnal Day of the Motobike and Scooter at Lyon. For this event, Roof, expose my bike. Lot of person stop to watch it, and take some pics. I’m really happy because that was the only stuntbike on the show ! It’s a good things for my sport.
